Golf pride grips are the number 1 grip in golf, but what makes them so popular and how do others compare?
Who are Golf Pride?
Golf Pride have been making grips for over 70 years and proudly offer the most used grip on the tour - the Golf Pride Tour Velvet.
They have a number of other grips on offer, the most notable being the multi-compound.
You'll tend to find Golf Pride grips in most if not all pro shops, and their grip (or a variation of it) will usually be found on any new clubs you purchase.
What is the Tour Velvet?
As mentioned the Golf Pride Tour Velvet is the most used grip on the tour.
Boasting a state-of-the-art rubber blend along with a non slip playing surface. It's meant to repel moisture ensuring maximum grip, playability & comfort.
However we feel that a lot of the above is marketing speak and it is essentially just a plain black rubber grip with a logo.
It's popularity is mainly due to the fact it's been around for so long.
Golf Pride Grip vs Carver Golf Grip
It's the fight we've all been waiting for...
Okay maybe not but here's how it compares to the Carver golf grip.
We're offering a plain black rubber golf grip designed to rival the premium brands. The main difference is we won't pull the wool over your eyes and say it's anything more than just a black rubber grip. Which is essentially what all grips are.
What we will say is that ours is very durable and will last a long time. You'll also find that it's better value than the premium brands.
The Carver golf grip is available for as low as £4.49 per, compared to a Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip which has an RRP of £7.99.
